Cox's Orange is a medium-sized, golden-yellow apple with russet markings, raised by Mr. Cox near Slough in 1825 and introduced by Charles Turner around 1850. It features tender, yellow, juicy flesh with exceptional flavor—widely regarded as the richest-flavoured English apple. The variety ripens November to March and is an outstanding dessert apple of high commercial importance.
