Charles Ross is a dual-purpose apple with large, pale yellow-green fruit covered in light red flush and bold broken stripes. The flesh is tender, juicy, and pleasantly sweet. It ripens October to December and is becoming a popular market apple, particularly well-suited to thin chalk soils.
