Peasgood's Nonsuch is a large, golden-yellow apple with faint flush and broken stripes, round-flattened and remarkably regular in form. It is renowned as one of the most beautiful fruits grown and excels in cooking, producing a frothy purée when processed. Raised by Mrs. Peasgood of Stamford from a Catshead Codlin seed in 1858, it matures September to November and is vigorous and fertile but somewhat prone to canker.
