Annie Elizabeth is a culinary apple of medium to large size with an oblong conical shape, pale yellow skin flushed and striped brilliant red. Raised by Mr. Greatorex in Leicester about 1857 and introduced by Messrs. Harrison in 1868, it is recognized by its distinctive hammered appearance. A vigorous, upright-growing tree bearing crisp, white, acid fruit suitable for cooking, available December to June.
