Culinary
Lehigh Greening is a medium to large apple of the French Pippin type with dark green skin that eventually becomes waxen yellow. It has firm, crisp, tender, juicy flesh with a mild subacid and aromatic flavor. An excellent keeper suited primarily for market and culinary uses rather than fresh eating, it originated in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania and has been cultivated there for about sixty years.
