Greyhouse
Malus domestica Borkh. Borkh.
Culinary
Greyhouse is a medium-sized apple with dull green and red coloring, thick skin, and dry, coarse, subacid flesh. Not suitable for fresh eating, it is valued primarily as a long keeper with a storage season from February to May. The tree is vigorous and spreading but unreliable as a bearer and is no longer widely cultivated, though some nurserymen still offer it.
