Ewalt
Malus domestica Borkh. Borkh.
Culinary
Ewalt is a large apple with yellow skin blushed with bright red, suitable for culinary use rather than dessert eating due to its acidity and moderate quality. The tree is vigorous and upright-spreading but an inconsistent bearer, producing good crops only occasionally. Though known in cultivation for many years, it has not achieved commercial success.
