Early Pennock is a large, showy yellow apple striped with red, with yellow flesh that is moderately juicy and coarse-textured. It is suitable for cooking but not considered suitable for eating fresh. The tree is hardy and a biennial cropper, though it has largely fallen out of cultivation in New York.
