Dumelow is a yellow apple of good market size that is highly valued in England as one of the most excellent culinary apples. The flesh is firm, crisp, juicy, and brisk with a subacid flavor, making it too acidic for dessert but ideal for cooking. The tree is a vigorous, strong grower that produces crops in alternate years, and the fruit keeps well from November through March or April.
