Yellow Bellflower is a large, attractive yellow apple well known in New York for both culinary and dessert uses, though it is rather briskly subacid early in the season and reaches its best condition by January or later. The tree is a good grower and fairly hardy, thriving on warm, well-drained soils; while the fruit sells at good prices, it is not generally a satisfactory cropper and not recommended for commercial planting except in a few favorable districts.
