Dickinson
Dual Purpose
Dickinson is a medium to large apple with an oblong-conic shape and bright red blush over yellow-green skin, resembling Yellow Bellflower in form. The flesh is juicy, slightly aromatic, and subacid, making it fair to good in quality but second-rate overall. It ripens November to April and was used as a market apple, though it is now of historical interest only.
