Autumn Pippin
Malus domestica Borkh. Borkh.
Dual Purpose
Fall Pippin is a large apple with attractive yellow skin when fully ripe, having tender, rich flesh that is excellent for both dessert and culinary uses. The tree is a strong, hardy, long-lived grower, though susceptible to apple scab. Though widely disseminated across North America and still found in some old New York orchards, it is now seldom planted and grown mainly for home use.
