Borsdorf is a German dessert apple valued in Europe for quality fruit, with a hardy and productive tree. The fruit is small to below-medium, oblate, yellow with light scarlet wash and russet markings, with mild subacid flavor becoming nearly sweet. Although introduced to America many years prior, it has not gained commercial recognition in New York and is not recommended for planting there.
