Chenango is a beautiful dessert apple with yellowish-white skin striped and splashed with bright carmine, prized for its tender, juicy, aromatic flesh. It begins ripening in late August and through September, requiring multiple pickings to capture the fruit at its best. Hardy and long-lived, it is particularly recommended for home orchards though commercial demand remains limited.
