Cortland is a crisp, juicy dessert apple with classic red coloration, developed from a Ben Davis × McIntosh cross at Geneva, New York and introduced in 1915. The tree is an early, annual bearer and very hardy, with white flesh that stores well for several months at cold temperatures.
