Walker's Yellow
Malus domestica Borkh. Borkh.
Culinary
Walker Beauty is a yellow-skinned apple that originated in Pennsylvania, though its early history is uncertain. The fruit is moderately attractive but variable in size and shape, with flesh that is too acid for eating fresh but suitable for cooking. The tree is vigorous and a good annual bearer, though not highly productive, and was disseminated only sparingly in New York by the early 1900s.
