An oblong, five-sided culinary apple of above medium size with yellowish-green skin and grey specks. The flesh is greenish-white, tender, juicy, and brisk with pleasant sub-acid flavor. One of England's oldest apples, documented in royal accounts from 1292, though now rarely encountered in cultivation.
