Laxton's Pioneer is a large dessert apple developed in Bedfordshire, England in 1934. It features a yellow skin almost entirely covered with red flush and stripes, measuring approximately 82 mm wide and 67 mm tall. The fruit is typically picked in late September and used from October through November.
