Above-medium sized roundish crab apple with yellow skin, russet base, and pale crimson markings in sun. White, firm, crisp flesh with sharp acid flavor. A second-rate culinary apple in use from November to March, extensively grown in southern Lancashire and popular in Manchester markets.
