Culinary
A medium-sized oblong culinary apple with thick, hard yellow skin touched with brown near the sun, and white tender flesh that is sweet and juicy. In use from October to January, it is of second-rate quality. The variety was introduced in 1818 by Mr. Stevens of Stanton Grange, Derbyshire, who raised it from Keswick Codling seed; the tree is hardy and an abundant bearer.
