Manchester
Manchester is a medium-to-large apple of the Esopus Spitzenburg type, with yellow to dull green skin blushed with red. The flesh tends to lack the quality and color of Esopus Spitzenburg and is prone to brown discolorations. It is not sufficiently attractive for market sale and is sparingly cultivated in western New York only.
