A tender, subacid apple bearing resemblance to Yellow Bellflower, in season from mid-August to mid-September. The tree is erect, medium-sized, hardy, and a good cropper. Originally raised in Dutchess County, New York, it was never widely adopted for commercial planting and gradually fell out of cultivation.
