A small, globular dessert apple with golden-grey russety skin, orange and red coloring next the sun. The flesh is firm, juicy, with rich aromatic flavor. A first-rate quality dual-purpose fruit for dessert and cider, in season from September to January, and widely cultivated in the UK by 1851.
