Fishkill Beauty
Malus domestica Borkh. Borkh.
Dual Purpose
Fishkill is a large, uniform apple with rather attractive appearance but only fair quality for either culinary or dessert use. The tree is vigorous and nearly an annual bearer, yielding good crops of uniformly large fruit, and may warrant trial in regions requiring superior hardiness. The flesh is firm, coarse, crisp, and mildly subacid, with fruit maturing November to February.
