A very hardy and productive seedling of Oldenburg developed in Maine that is gaining widespread cultivation in Northern New England. The fruit is medium to large with bright greenish-yellow skin washed and splashed with red, attractive in appearance and good quality with crisp, juicy, aromatic flesh. It is particularly valued as a hardy winter variety for cold northern climates and ripens in September through October.
