Co-op 11
Also known as: PRI 1947-104, Coop 11
An unnamed, never-released scab-immune apple breeding selection of the US Purdue–Rutgers–Illinois (PRI) cooperative program — designation PRI 1947-104. Parentage "#2 (Winesap open-pollinated) × PRI 1042-100." Field-immune to apple scab and resistant to cedar-apple rust and fire blight, but discarded at Lafayette for severe fruit defects (sparse cropping, tough flesh and skin, astringency, storage scald) — "problems too severe for further consideration." It survives only as a collector tree, held in the Nick Botner apple collection under its raw breeding number, which is how it reached this orchard.
