Winter Queening is an old Sussex dessert or culinary apple of great antiquity, bearing medium conical fruit with yellow skin nearly covered in dull red stripes and flushes. The flesh is firm and yellow with a subacid flavor, keeping until March. The tree is vigorous and fertile, with small greyish upfolded leaves.
