Dual Purpose
A below-medium, roundish apple with smooth golden-yellow skin and a slight orange flush. The flesh is yellow, firm, crisp, sugary, and briskly flavored. Excellent for both dessert and cider; in use October to January. Raised in 1791 by T. A. Knight from a cross of Orange Pippin (seed) and Golden Pippin (pollen), introduced 1802.
