Dual Purpose
Streaked Pippin is a large apple with yellow skin streaked with red, ranking good to very good in quality for both dessert and culinary use. Widely cultivated on Long Island, it stores exceptionally well through February with practically no loss, extending its season to April or May. The tree is hardy, vigorous, and a reliable cropper, though the fruit ripens unevenly with some dropping loss.
