A medium-sized, pale straw-colored apple with occasional red wash, roundish and somewhat flattened form. The crisp, tender, juicy flesh has a poignant and agreeably acid flavor, making it excellent for culinary purposes, particularly sauce. Extensively cultivated in Lincolnshire in the 1851 period, in use from November to February.
