Scarlet Golden Pippin

A bud sport of Golden Pippin originating in Scotland around 1820, this small, square-round dessert apple features yellow flesh covered with a scarlet flush and has a crisp, aromatic character. Though it was once grown, it is now rarely cultivated and is considered to be of limited merit.
