A small, round dessert apple with pale golden-yellow skin faintly flushed with russet and brown-red. The yellow flesh is very crisp, juicy, and nicely flavoured. Raised by Mr. Williams of Pitmaston about 1838 from a Golden Pippin seed, it is now seldom seen in cultivation.
