Dual Purpose
A large, conical apple with yellow skin strewed with russety spots and red striping on the sun-facing side. The flesh is pale yellow, firm, tender, and juicy with a sugary, brisk, pleasant flavor. Extensively cultivated in western Sussex and valued as a dual-purpose variety, excellent for cooking and acceptable for dessert, in season from December to April.
