Peck Pleasant is an old favorite green apple belonging to the same group as Green Newtown and Rhode Island Greening. It is highly esteemed for dessert use, with tender, pleasantly flavored flesh that ranks very good to best in quality. The fruit colors from green to waxen-yellow with an orange or pinkish blush at maturity, and stores from October to March (or until April in cold storage), but is susceptible to scalding.
