A medium-sized, roundish apple with greenish-yellow skin on the shaded side and bright red streaking on the sunny side. The flesh is yellow, tender, juicy, sugary, and highly flavored, making it an excellent dessert apple of first-rate quality in October, though it soon becomes mealy. The tree is of middle size and a good bearer, surpassing the Ribston Pippin in productivity.
