Medium-sized, roundish apple with five prominent ridges at the crown, pale yellow to lemon-colored skin with brownish-red on the sun-exposed side. Firm, crisp, tender, and juicy with a brisk, pleasant flavor. An excellent culinary apple also suitable for dessert; it stores well from November to April without shrivelling. The tree is hardy, a reliable bearer, though not a strong grower.
