A very large, roundish-ovate culinary apple with deep green skin russeted with minute dots, open eye, and greenish-white tender, juicy flesh with a brisk, pleasant flavor. Extensively cultivated in Kentish orchards near Faversham and Sittingbourne for London markets; in use October to January. Recognized as a culinary apple of the finest quality.
