A large conical apple with deep red skin on the sunny side and yellow on the shaded side, streaked with russety dots. The flesh is crisp, firm, and juicy with a brisk and slightly perfumed flavor. Useful for both culinary and dessert purposes, of second-rate quality, in season December to February, with vigorous and productive trees.
