Cox's Pomona is a medium, round to conical dessert or culinary apple, raised by Mr. Cox near Slough in 1825. The fruit features yellow skin flushed and striped with crimson, tender white flesh, and a sub-acid flavor, with an open eye in a deep basin and a rather short stem. The tree has moderate growth and is fertile; the cultivar is described as a very attractive fruit.
