Leland Spice is a large, roundish apple from Sherburne, Massachusetts, with yellow skin nearly covered in bright red. The flesh is yellowish, tender, and juicy, with a rich, aromatic subacid flavor. Excellent for both fresh eating and cooking; widely regarded as good to very good, ripening in September and October.
