Edwards is a late-keeping apple of good quality that generally remains small to medium-sized with dull coloring. The flesh is firm, rather coarse, and moderately juicy with a sprightly subacid flavor and aromatic notes. It is not well-adapted for cultivation in northern climates like New York.
