A medium-sized dessert apple with golden-yellow skin almost entirely covered in brilliant scarlet flush and broad stripes. The flesh is white, firm, close-grained, and juicy with a sweet taste but no particular flavour. Maturing November to January, it was introduced as a potential successor to Worcester Pearmain for commercial growers.
