1 / 3Brownlees' Russet
Malus domestica Borkh. Borkh.
Dessert
Brownlees is an English russet apple of excellent quality with a desirable size and good appearance, offering a rich, subacid aromatic flavor found only in some russet varieties. Though vigorous and producing well-formed fruit, it was insufficiently productive in New York for commercial use and remains little known outside its region of origin.
