Belle Grideline is a medium-sized, round dessert apple with clear yellow skin marbled and washed with red and grey russet. The flesh is white, firm, crisp, and briskly flavored. It seasons from December to March and was discovered near Norwich in 1770 by George Lindley, who propagated it from 1793 onward. The tree is vigorous and an excellent bearer.
