A medium-sized oval apple with dull yellow skin marked by crimson streaks and russety specks. The flesh is yellowish-white, very juicy, and sugary with a rich, brisk flavor. A fine dessert apple in season from October to December, received from the garden at Hammersmith formerly owned by James Lee.
