A large, round-conical dessert apple with pale yellow skin, brown-red flush and stripes, and firm, juicy, sweet yellow flesh. Raised by Laxton as a cross of Lady Sudeley and Beauty of Bath, it has an unusually short stem and rather upright growth habit. Typically harvested in September.
