Yellow Transparent is one of the earliest apples, excellent for cooking and acceptable for fresh eating. It ripens starting in July with continuous maturation over several weeks, and produces reliable annual crops. Though somewhat delicate in handling, it is grown throughout the country for home use and occasionally for local market.
