Lodi is an Ohio-bred dessert apple developed in 1911 and introduced in 1924 from a cross of Montgomery and Yellow Transparent. The fruit has pale yellow skin flushed with deeper yellow, and is known for its tangy flavor and resistance to apple scab. It is harvested in late July to early August.
