Red Must
Malus domestica Borkh. Borkh.
Cider
The Red Must is one of the largest cider apples cultivated in Herefordshire, broad and flattened with greenish-yellow skin on the shaded side and deep rosy coloring where exposed to sun. It has been esteemed as a good cider apple throughout history, though recent ciders made from it unmixed with other apples tend to be light and thin. The apple has a specific gravity of expressed juice not exceeding 1064.
