No-6
Malus orientalis Uglitzk.
Dessert
A Russian variety of medium to rather large size with greenish-yellow skin sometimes showing a faint blush. The flesh is coarse, very juicy, and subacid to briskly subacid with fair to good flavor. It bears reliably and comes into production young, but has been little planted in New York and does not appear valuable for the region.
